About

The Dirty Pond is a locally-focused literary and arts review dedicated to showcasing original content with a special preference for cross-disciplinary, collaborative work. While 50% of our content is generated by the creative community of greater New Haven, Connecticut, we also welcome submissions from writers and artists from beyond our municipal borders.  We publish electronically on a bimonthly basis and print anthologies on a quarterly one. We host multimedia readings and curate the gallery space of an experimental community arts collective, too.

Selected works by our contributors will be sold at DETRITUS, a curated bookstore we’re currently developing in partnership with Project Storefront, a program of the city of New Haven.  DETRITUS will be located in downtown New Haven and will offer printed matter produced by New Haven’s creative community alongside a selection of sought-after chapbooks, artist books, zines, periodicals, and ephemera from publishers and distributors previously unavailable in the greater New Haven area.
